LLC “BaselCement” was established in 2006 in order to develop and manage two business lines of the “Basic Element” Investment Fund – cement business, aggregates procurement and processing (lime, broken stone, sand).
During the first year of its activity the Company has passed a long way from purchasing of the first plant in Kazakhstan up to establishing the holding which includes several existing cement and aggregates production enterprises and a whole range of plants to be constructed or to be designed.
Future of the company is to create a chance for consumers to be fully supplied by raw construction materials (cement, sand, broken stone, concrete, etc.) over the whole Russia and near abroad countries.

	“BaselCement” announces launching the second cement production line with capacity of 700 thousand tonnes per year on “Achinsk Cement” LLC. Second production line launching at Achinsk Cement was caused by increased demand for the production of the enterprise. More		“BaselCement-Pikalyovo” produced the first party of calcined alumina. Calcination kiln for alumina production, which was fired a day before, produced first 30 tonnes of calcined alumina. More

	“BaselCement-Pikalyovo”, launched in the beginning of June, is operating in the routine mode, “BaselCement” informed. Dynamic works on alumina production recovery at “BaselCement- Pikalyovo” were resumed on 8 June 2009 – 2,330 employees of the enterprise returned from forced leave and proceeded to equipment adjustment and preparation to launching. The work has been carried out in three shifts. More		A new cement brand was introduced to customers at the meeting on Achinsk Cement – that is a cement of standardized composition for hydraulic structures. The unique feature of this cement brand is that it allows producing concrete which gains strength in process of maintenance, i.e. its strength properties improve with time. More
